wow!! i havent updated this since like, september!! i guess heaps of things have happened since then. here's a quick recap:

- i went to newcastle, sydney & melbourne with simple plan in october
- celebrated NYE at trash with my fave boys - tobi, aaron, matt & dave from City Lights Fade.
- i almost quit KFC. sadly, im still working there.
- started uni again in february.
- met mason musso from metro station!
- saw fall out boy & hey monday!
- SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL! met/fell in absolute love with Forever the Sickest Kids
- saw New Found Glory TWICE.
- finally saw Red Jumpsuit Apparatus & MCFLY!

my life is so exciting. haha. not.

anyways, lately ive just been working my ass off. studying, trying to keep up with my readings and such. so not much time for socialising =(
i;ve been trying to find an internship with PR but like, no luck there. i think i am just going to wait til i finish my course. and i'm going to go live in LA or NYC for a while. there's more opportunity there for me you know? as much as i love sydney, it's really not enough for someone like me who has huge dreams in life. and i think it's time to live them! its like, what i really wanna do is run my own indie music label, helping bands get their music out in the world. that's pretty much my main goal in life i guess. =)

still trying to figure out the perfect name. here's a few im considering:

seeing short stack this wed night. first time. ever. never thought i would see them actually. but hey, free tickets. who's complaining? their songs are quite catchy i guess.




so, i usually only blog when i'm heaps annoyed about something. and i am. i stupidly decided to check my myspace truthbox. i always somehow get hurt by some of the mean things people are ANONYMOUSLY saying behind my back. it hurts. especially this latest message. saying stuff like how i'm so hypocritical about music. like, how before i hated the local scene and now i love it, and hate popular bands like panic at the disco. that kinda hurts me. bad.
like, i know i never said i hated the local scene before. i just didn't know about it. all i knew back then was music being played on the radio.
but yeah, i dunno. i know i shouldn't care about what others say. it just really hurt me. a bit. =(
so why am i writing about it here and not on a myspace bulletin?
cause i don't want people on my myspace sending me messages like, "oh stop posting useless bulletins" etc etc...
seriously. just shut up! i do what i like. no one's gonna tell me what to do with my life anytime soon.

YES. it's finally been announced. =D gjfkjgfhjkg!! first it was the metro station tour, then a few days later..SIMPLE PLAN?! way way too much excitement for one week.
anyways, the dates are:

october 14th - metro city PERTH (18+)
october 16th - newcastle entertainment centre NEWCASTLE
october 17th - brisbane entertainment centre BRISBANE
october 18th - hordern pavilion SYDNEY
october 21st - festival hall MELBOURNE

turns out im gonna do 3 of the 5 dates. newy, syd and melb. perth is like way too expensive for me. and brissy i have a uni assignment due that day. =( damnn.
but yeah. tour is gonna be fuckingg greaaat!
support acts are SHORT STACK and THE GETAWAY PLAN. short stack are ok, ive taken a liking to their songs recently. quite catchy. getaway plan i just cant get used to. their songs just dont appeal to me. urghh. i wish bands like town hall steps, heroes for hire or city lights fade could support SP instead. but you know, unsigned bands just don't count when it comes to this i guess.

aaarggh. cant believe it. its finally been announced. i'm still on a huge adrenaline rush. far outt. this is crazy. this band is like, everything to me. these past 5 months have been so INSANE. i rekon if i hadnt met them in march, i would never have got into the local scene..therefore never meeting the city lights fade boys. (and never rediscovering town hall steps)

it must be fate, or something. and i usually dont believe in that crap.
pretty sure i've found my calling in life. helping out bands. get their music OUT THERE.

i've been with simple plan since 2004.
i've been with city lights fade since their first ever show on march 29, 2008. and compare that show to the bull n bush gig last thursday, those boys have improved soo much. like you wouldnt believe. it's amazing. like, i'm heaps proud of them boys. for working heaps hard. and they just went into recording their DEBUT CD. faaarrk. i can't wait for it to get out to everyone.

as for simple plan. they're just amazing musicians and are seriously, like, the most hardworking band i know. that's why they have the most dedicated fans. cause they deserve it so much. they dont need to be #1 on the charts to be the best. they just do what they do. and their fans stick by them.

A lot has happened since march 9, 2008. I reckon it's all to do with meeting the band that started it all for me. I got a new perspective and calling in life.
Anyway, here's an outline of what has happened:

- march 29th, went along to City Lights Fade's first ever gig. Met Tobi, gave me their demo CD

Now. City lights fade. Where do I start? Haha gosh. They got me into the LOCAL music scene, just like simple plan got me into rock music. And what do you know?? Two of the guys have become some of my best friends. =)

Other local bands I got into and have become friends with - estah, heroes for hire...

And another band I recently came to lovin is acid eyeliner.

Woohooo. Guess you could say I finally got into the local scene haha...

i could write about what happened to me over the past four days. EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DETAIL. but right now, i just can't. it seems unreal to me right now, that i just met my fave band of all time and they now know i exist.

but i also need to go to work. =]

all i can say is, the past 4 days changed my life forever.

SPRINGG BREAAKKK!! with Simple Plan!

so, there i was. today i finished uni at 1pm. so fucking pissed, because i have no group for my projectt aargghh! omggz i'm gonnaa fail baddlyyy. but anyways. enuff of that.

i then met up with jade (from melbourne) and her friend stace. they were bored, and jade wanted to see the opera house. ok, so we head over there, stopping by kfc to get my shifts for the week (3 shifts woot) then we're off, showing them sunrise and the 7 store lolz. THENNN keep on headingg to the sydney opera house.

ok. sop jade and her friend are busy snapping photos n shit right. we're walking above the little cafe area underneath us, downstairs lol..and then stace goes, "hey guess who it is down there?"

LOL! AND YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVER WHO IT WAS!
SIMPLE PLAN!! well, first one i saw was Seb. And i saw Pat filming some video thinggg with Sp's manager, eric. and thennnn...and thenn.... i seee CHUCCKKK. so i call to him and talk to him from above...bit hard to understand each otherr. but hahaah! he totally remembered me!

and thennn. laterr on, pat was busy snapping pics and he walked rightt by mee. we said hheyyy to each otherr..and gave himm a hi5! =D awhhh i lovee pattt, he is awesomee <3

no pierre tho. and i think david had his girlfriend with himmm. damnnnn...i need to tell pierre or david how i knowww theiir friends. lol 2morro is my last chanceee. HOT30!! WOOOT!

it took. to meet simple plan. finally. =D
all but david, but there's always tuesday. and it was very fun to be showing jeff around the city, and helping him try to find the apple mac store, as well as the music shop. besst day everr <333

Isn't it funny when you discover who your real friends are. They're not necessarily the ones you spent 6 or 7 years of your life with.

It hurts. To know that even your closest friends aren't there for you 24/7.

there's something about seeing a band you like play a live show. it makes you fall in love with them even more. their music makes you feel personally connected to them. <3 it happened the first time i saw simple plan live on march 2nd 2005. as well as the first time i saw good charlotte live at take40 last year.
just listening to a band's cd is not enough. you have to experience them live. to fall COMPLETELY in love.

and i think tom higgenson from pwt's just became one of my fave lead singers alongside:
- pierre bouvier
- joel madden

god, they're all amazing, in their own ways. <3 not to mention, each of them are amazing songwriters.

tom (lead singer) remembered me from the rooftop, and awh he is seriously one of the sweeetest and amazing guys i've ever met!!
ii hope PWT's come back here later this year.

on other bands, BOYS LIKE GIRLS were just as AWESOME as PWT's. i have a MAJORRR crush on Paul, their lead guitarist <3

and LOL at the fact that Tom was dressed like Joel Madden that night, while the PWT's bassist looked like David from Simple Plan (just chubbier).

All Time Low were pretty goood, even though i have never heard their stuff before. Same as Socratic. =] Meh. I give props to them.

THE STARTING LINE, however, KINDA disappointed me.firstly, WHO THE HELL MADE THEM HEADLINERS?! they should of played after ATL, and PWT's or BLG should of been headliners.
and i was only waiting for the one song i knew, THE BEST OF ME..
hahaah..they were ok playing live. kindaa SHIT tho.

Wow. So simple plan's new album is officially released today =D I am actually over the moon with this news, so why do I feel so down right now??

Because anything to do with simple plan, bands and music makes me the happiest person alive. =)

And, I feel like a fresh start. With everything. I just need it. All I'm gonna focus on is finishing insearch, working, earning money to travel, and that's it.

I don't care much for the clubbing life anymore. Its all fucked up.

And, I've decided, if I don't get to uts, I think I'm going to complete my degree in entertainment music business. I have a feeling it is really what I want to do.
